Just1Mike Foundation Donates SaveStations to Ensure Public Access to AEDs
The public is invited to a dedication and celebration of two new outdoor stations housing automated external defibrillators (AEDs) at Maxwell Regional Park in Sonoma this week.
The two SaveStations, which will be dedicated on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 11 a.m., were donated to the park by the Just1Mike Foundation, which received grant funding from Impact100 Sonoma and worked collaboratively with Sonoma Valley Fire Department.
Just1Mike Foundation honors the life of Kristy and Bob Brindley’s son, Michael, who suffered cardiac arrest in 2016 and did not survive because an AED was not used in the first critical minutes after the cardiac arrest.

SaveStation cabinets are climate controlled, monitored and equipped with cameras to take a photograph if the cabinets are opened to access the AED. The AEDs are easy and safe to use; when they are turned on, they give audible instructions.
