South Central High School – Union Mills recently announced a new donation of a SaveStation to the school.
A SaveStation is equipped with an AED, or Automated External Defibrillator; allowing everyday citizens to help treat sudden cardiac arrest. The SaveStation also comes equipped with a Stop the Bleed Kit.
South Central announced that their SaveStation is installed in front of the school building outside of Door #3.
The announcement states that this is the 6th outdoor 24/7-accessible AED on the school’s campus, with over 15 AEDs available across school grounds, both indoors and outdoors.
One feature that is noted about the SaveStation is that it is programmed to automatically call 911 when the AED is removed from its cabinet.
