The Clayton Community Centre has unveiled a new publicly accessible AED SaveStation, providing residents and visitors with 24/7 access to life-saving emergency equipment.

Located outside the community centre, the defibrillator station was made possible through a collaborative effort involving the Clayton Recreation Committee, local volunteers, and support from the Township of Mississippi Mills.

The new installation ensures that a publicly accessible AED is available around the clock for use during sudden cardiac emergencies.

The initiative reflects a growing commitment to improving emergency preparedness in rural communities by placing life-saving equipment in highly visible and accessible public locations.

Community leaders noted that quick access to an AED, combined with immediate CPR, can dramatically improve survival outcomes when sudden cardiac arrest occurs.

Representatives from Lanark County Paramedic Service also participated in the unveiling and helped promote awareness around AED use and emergency response.

The project demonstrates how local partnerships and community fundraising can help expand access to critical public safety resources.

The new SaveStation adds another layer of protection for community events, recreational activities, and everyday visitors to the Clayton Community Centre.
